Energy Efficient Systems

ASD Architectural provide a range of systems which actively reduce the carbon footprint of a building. Legislation requires windows, doors and curtain walling to provide thermal insulation, and this is measured in U values. The U values of the frames on the Hermetic 45N, Hermetic 60N, and Hermetic Multitop curtain wall systems are an impressive 1.4 W/m²K. The Garant window and door system frame value is 1.3W/m²K, and the Unico window and door system is less than 1.9 W/m²K. The effect of this is to enable the complete window, door or screen to comfortably achieve excellent U values.

Larger panels of glass can be fitted to Steel and Stainless steel systems because of their strength. This has the effect of improving the efficiency of the fenestration further. Low U values mean cost savings on heating and cooling for buildings. All of these systems are EN tested system for air permeability, water-tightness, resistance to wind load and impact resistance. This further ensures freedom from draughts and costly maintenance issues.
